Strategic Sedimentary Raw Materials

This meeting will continue cover aspects of sedimentary raw materials, sedimentary geochemistry, critical and strategic raw materials (REEs from primary sources, Boron, Magnesium, Graphite, Tungsten, Cobalt, Nickel, PG metals, etc.), diagenesis, carbonate and clastic sequence, organic sedimentary sequence, black shale, volcano clastics, and sedimentary petrography.

Joint Meeting of IGCP 739 (Hyperthermal Events) and IGCP 710 (Western Tethys Meets Eastern Tethys)

This meeting will cover the Mesozoic Paleogene hyperthermal events are widely archived in the sedimentary record, e.g. Permian Triassic Boundary Event, Carnian Pluvial Event, Triassic Jurassic Boundary Event, Early Jurassic and Cretaceous Oceanic Anoxic Events and Paleocene Eocene Thermal Maximum looking at the geotectonics, paleogeography, paleoceanography and paleobiogeography. Improved understanding of the Mesozoic-Cenozoic ocean/climate history is based on accurate reconstruction of distribution of continents and ocean basins and on opening and closing of seaways along the Tethys.
